Who We Are
Andrew Arcadi is a licensed California General Contractor with over 20 years of building experience in and around the Napa Valley. Prior to starting his own business and career working in residential and commercial construction in the Napa Valley, he served in the United States Air Force as a Structural Journeyman, earning the rank of Master Sergeant while serving in Air Force Civil Engineers squadrons around the world. He has a bachelor's degree in business management.
In 2005, Andrew left active duty service, but continued with Air Force Reserves. He began working full time with local construction companies. Starting as a carpenter for James Nolan Construction, where he primarily worked on high end residential projects in and around Napa Valley. Later, he worked for Hearn Construction as a carpenter and assistant superintendent. The projects ranged from residential to hotels, large scale retirement community remodels, theaters, pharmaceutical plants and more. After leaving active duty military service in 2005 and joining the reserves, Andrew began working for contractors in the Napa Valley right away. First as a carpenter with James Nolan Construction working on high end residential projects in and around Napa. Then with Hearn Construction as a carpenter and then assistant superintendent. Projects with Hearn construction included hotels, large scale retirement community remodels, theaters, pharmaceutical plants and too many others to specifically list.
In 2007, Andrew’s Air Force Reserve unit was deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. There he was part of the 506th Civil Engineer Squadron Building and Maintaining Forward Operating Base Warrior for the 506th as well as the Army’s 10th Mountain division.
Upon returning Andrew continued to work with Hearn Construction and helped close the company out as they shut their doors. He then began working with AJF Contracting focusing on residential construction in the Napa Valley and north bay area. Andrew got his contractor’s license in June of 2011.
As the owner of Andrew Arcadi Contracting, Andrew specializes in both residential commercial projects, with a primary focus on project management. He works as an independent sub contractor and project manager on large scale projects for other contractors as well as on his own projects.
Andrew takes a detailed and communication heavy approach to each project. He brings new schools of thought and technology into what can be a stuffy ‘the way we’ve always done it’ business. He can help by expanding projects off of the 2D plans with 3D renderings and augmented reality before a piece of equipment arrives at the job site and throughout the building process. This can help both the clients and their team visualize their options before moving forward. The ability to use 3d renderings can reduce mistakes and their expensive corrections, and ensure the client’s vision is being met or exceeded.
Andrew brings his years of military experience and his years of experience on the job to his project management and building style. But moreover, he brings an artistic sensibility to what can otherwise be a very black and white process. In addition to working in all aspects of the trades, from laborer, to carpenter, to project manager, Andrew has worked as a musician and composer for years. He has written music professionally for video games and commercials as well as his own projects and projects for other artists. Providing music for 13 episodes of Telltale Games Minecraft Story Mode, The Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, and Stranger Things. Andrew strives to bring the same sense of artistic expression to all he does.
